Do I need a business account?+
Yes. Instagram's API only allows automation on Business or Creator (professional) accounts. Switching is free in the Instagram app under Settings → Account type.
Is this allowed by Instagram?+
Yes. autoreplyig uses the official Instagram Graph API with OAuth, the same mechanism Meta built for this exact use case. We enforce Meta's messaging windows and reply limits automatically.
Can it DM people who never commented or messaged me?+
No, and that's deliberate. Instagram only permits replies to people who interacted with you first, by commenting or messaging. Cold outreach would put your account at risk, so autoreplyig doesn't do it.
What does it cost?+
Each send (a public reply or a DM) uses one credit from your account. No subscription required to start. Connect your account and try it on a real post.
Does this work for Reels and Stories, not just posts?+
Yes. You can set keyword triggers on Reels comments, on Story replies, and on incoming DMs. Each surface runs its own set of rules.
What happens if someone doesn't reply to the automated message?+
The conversation closes until they message you again. Instagram allows one private reply per comment, and DMs stay open for 24 hours after their last message. Both limits are enforced by Instagram's own API.
Do you ever see my Instagram password?+
No. You connect through Facebook Login and grant scoped permissions on Meta's own consent screen. autoreplyig never asks for, sees, or stores your Instagram password.
Can I turn an automation off or delete it?+
Yes, anytime, from the Automations page. Turning one off stops new triggers immediately, and past conversations aren't affected.
How do I fully revoke access?+
Open Instagram settings, go to Apps and websites, and remove autoreplyig from the list. Access is revoked immediately on Meta's side.
Is autoreplyig available in other languages?+
Yes. The app and this site are available in Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Turkish, Arabic, French, Vietnamese, and Korean, in addition to English.
