ManyChat pricing: what you really pay as you grow
ManyChat advertises Pro from $15 a month. That number is accurate the way "flights from $39" is accurate. The price you'll actually pay depends on your contact count, and your contact count only goes up.
Note: pricing changes and varies by region. Numbers below reflect ManyChat's published US pricing as of mid-2026; always check their pricing page before deciding.
How contact-based billing works
A contact is anyone who has ever interacted with any of your ManyChat automations. Commented your trigger word once in 2024? Contact. Replied to a story that hit an automation? Contact. They stay on your list, and on your bill, until you delete them.
The tiers step up with volume. The published pattern looks roughly like this:
| Contacts | Pro price (approx.) |
|---|---|
| Up to 500 | $15/mo |
| 1,000 | ~$25/mo |
| 5,000 | ~$45/mo |
| 10,000 | ~$65/mo |
| 25,000 | ~$99/mo |
Add-ons stack on top. The AI features are a separate subscription (around $29 a month when we last checked), and SMS or email sends carry usage costs.
Why bills jump suddenly
The mechanism that surprises people: contact growth is driven by your best content. A Reel that gets 2,000 comments on your trigger word adds up to 2,000 contacts in one shot. Your automation worked exactly as designed, and your monthly price tier moved twice.
You can prune contacts manually to drop back down a tier. In practice almost nobody does, because deleting contacts also deletes conversation history and any tags you've built segmentation on.
When the price is worth it
Paying $65 a month for 10,000 contacts is a great deal if those contacts feed a funnel with actual revenue: a store, a course, a booking pipeline. ManyChat's segmentation, tags, and drip sequences exist to squeeze value out of a contact list, and if you use them, the per-contact model maps to the value you get.
It's a bad deal if you use none of that. A creator who just sends a link when someone comments "GUIDE" gets identical value from contact number 1 and contact number 25,000, but pays six times more at the higher tier.
The flat-price alternative
That mismatch is why we built autoreplyig without contact-based billing. Same comment-to-DM mechanic, same official Meta API, but the person who triggers your automation doesn't become a line item. If your use case is keyword replies rather than list-building, the feature comparison with ManyChat shows what you'd give up (mostly: multi-channel and complex flows) and what you'd stop paying for.
How to estimate your real ManyChat cost
- Take your average comments per post on trigger-style content.
- Multiply by posts per month. That's your monthly contact growth, roughly.
- Find the tier you'll be in at month six and month twelve, not month one.
- Add the AI add-on if you plan to use it.
If month-twelve you is fine with that number, ManyChat is a reasonable buy. If you winced, look at free alternatives before you build your automations on a platform that's expensive to leave.

ManyChat does five platforms. autoreplyig does one. Here is why a focused Instagram DM tool beats a general chatbot builder for most creators.
